ZEPPOLE
Saint Joseph has traditionally been honoured with these delicious fried cakes on the 19th of March. In Naples these were fried and sold in the street and were a gift that everyone made to everyone else.

of Zeppole to fulfill the huge demand from not
only Italian customers but also from the mainstream
market. Today the demand for Zeppole begins February
1st and extends to Easter. Despite their size everyone
eats at least two or three, or even four, because
the sweet, delicate pasta bigné, flavoured
with a hint of cream and one or two bits of candied
cherry, is so good and goes down so smoothly.
